Bitget Token (BGB) is the utility token of Bitget, a large cryptocurrency exchange known for derivatives and copy trading. Holding BGB gives users lower trading fees, access to token launch events and other rewards on the platform.
BGB has also taken on a wider role. It is used as the gas and governance token of Morph, an Ethereum layer-2 network, and within Bitget's own wallet app. Bitget has carried out large token burns, including burning a big share of the total supply, and runs regular quarterly burns based on exchange revenue.
Like other exchange tokens, BGB's value depends mostly on Bitget's trading activity and growth. A large part of its trading happens on Bitget itself.
