Ondo (ONDO) is the governance token of Ondo Finance, a company that brings traditional investments such as US Treasury bonds and stocks onto the blockchain. Ondo's products let crypto users and institutions access these assets as tokens that can be moved, held and used around the clock.
Ondo is best known for tokenized Treasury products such as USDY and OUSG, which pay yield from short-term US government bonds, and Ondo Global Markets, which offers tokenized US stocks and ETFs to eligible non-US investors. It has also announced its own blockchain focused on tokenized assets.
ONDO holders help govern the Ondo ecosystem, including the Flux lending protocol. The token's value is linked to the growth of the tokenized real-world asset market, which has become one of the fastest-growing sectors in crypto.
