Quant (QNT) is the token of Quant Network, a London-based company focused on connecting blockchains with each other and with existing financial systems. Its main product, Overledger, acts like an operating system that lets developers build applications which work across multiple blockchains without being tied to any single one.
Quant's customers include banks, central banks and large enterprises that need interoperability for payments, tokenized money and data sharing. The company has taken part in several central bank digital currency and tokenized deposit projects. It offers enterprise software and developer tools that sit between existing systems and blockchain networks.
QNT is used to pay for licences and access to the Overledger network, which ties token demand to use of Quant's products. Its supply is small compared with many other large cryptocurrencies, at just under 15 million tokens.
