"When the first HIV cases were reported in Botswana we did not have the infrastructurein place to deal with this epidemic. We had to work in partnerships to be able to address the impact of the epidemic. We know what can work, and now our response to HIV aligns with the SDGs and the national vision for the countrys future."
Slumber Tsogwane is a Motswana politician who served as Vice President of Botswana from April 2018 to November 2024. He is also former Member of Parliament for Boteti West. He was the longest serving Member of Parliament of the 12th Parliament of Botswana. He is a member of the Botswana Democratic Party.

No faith should be found to be discriminating against people living with HIV. No faith should be found to be speaking against health programmes."
