"One thing about this (COVID-19) thats somewhat unprecedented is the speed at which new data is coming out and becoming available for mass consumption. In that article, theres not a lot of detail about when the initial patient returning to China became symptomatic. Its really hard to tell. People dont always accurately report. Thats not on purpose or anything, but people arent so self-aware that theyre going to notice a single sneeze, or every little cough, or clearing their throat, or their nose is running and they think its allergies. There are a lot of reasons why people might not necessarily recognize that they are symptomatic when they actually are."
