Esther Nikwambi Mahlangu is a South African artist known for her bold, large-scale paintings inspired by her Ndebele heritage. Raised on a farm in the Mpumalanga region, she began painting as a child but did not receive critical recognition until the late 1980s. She is one of the most prominent contemporary practitioners of Ndebele house painting and has brought international attention to the art
