Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is a 1985 Australian post-apocalyptic dystopian action film directed by George Miller and George Ogilvie and written by Terry Hayes and Miller. It is the third installment in the Mad Max franchise and the sequel to Mad Max 2 (1981). It is the only film in the franchise to be rated PG-13 by the MPAA. The film stars Mel Gibson and Tina Turner.
