She took her eyes out, Thomas. There are millions of people suffering out there. Millions of stories, just like mine. We cant turn our backs on them. I wont."

"Listen to me! Im trying to save your life. The Maze is one thing, but you kids wouldnt last one day out in the Scorch. If the elements dont kill you, the Cranks will. Thomas, you have to believe me. I only want whats best for you."

An enzyme produced by the brains of the immune. Once separated from the bloodstream, it can serve as a powerful agent to slow the spread of the virus."

"I dont know. This is as far as Ive ever gotten. The vents dont even go into that section, but once they go through that door– they dont come back out. I dont think anybody ever really leaves this place."

"Well, we pick up whats left of us. We stick to the plan. We get you kids to the Safe Haven. Then we start over, I guess."
